POSITION PURPOSE: Responsible for the communication of all technical and marketing aspects relating to the Chromatin Biology, Cell Signaling related products. Responsible for the management of product supply including forecasts, manufacturing issues, supply chain and product databases. Provide product support to the sales team and to the customer. Coordinate complaint resolution.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
For assigned products(s): Chromatin Biology and Cell Signaling Products
1.Support one or more product managers by taking responsibility for product supply and general product needs via coordination with each responsible function within Millipore including sales, technical support, planners, customer service, marketing communication, manufacturing, global supply chain and quality.
2.Accountable for documentation management, support of customer inquiries, notifications, new product catalogue, part codes, support for production of marketing collateral and sales support materials. Work with distributors to ensure all appropriate forms are in place and implementation of product supply agreements. Interpret R&D/performance data, market information to drive technical content of catalogs, datasheets, brochures, direct marketing efforts, sales support tools, etc. Supports new product catalogue, part codes. Supports production of marketing collateral and sales support materials.
3.Assist Product Manager by gathering data to support decisions involving product lifecycle management. Seek feedback regarding product needs and/or improvements from field sales.
4.Manage complaint investigations, SKU generation, channel management and support, inventory control and forecasting. Develop plans to manage and communicate exceptional supply/product events to internal stakeholders, and draft materials for distribution to customers when required.
5.Resolve issues involving packaging and manufacturing problems with the assistance of Product Manager
6.Assist Product Managers and Directors of Marketing to ensure approved product information and materials are provided to sales staff on a timely basis including sales training as appropriate.
7.Respond to field questions and customer inquiries regarding technical specifications, quality issues, etc by working with the appropriate people within the Millipore organization to make sure the response is delivered to the customer in a timely manner.
8.Work in conjunction with the Technical Support Staff and Product Manager(s) to collate market data and develop technical support manuals.
9.Works with Marketing communications to track, analyze and report on the status of marketing promotions.
10.Develop and maintain a working technical knowledge of factors affecting the corporations' markets due to technology and or product development. Assist in competitive analysis.
11.Occasional customer visits/ sales calls/trade show attendance/conferences to understand market dynamics
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
1.Bachelors' degree. One to four years experience (1-4)
2.Demonstrated experience of providing marketing analysis information in life sciences, diagnostics, medical or similar environment is preferred. Some hands on laboratory experience is preferred.
3.Understanding of basic marketing concepts such as product life cycle and product positioning.
4.Demonstrated ability to understand, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals and basic business reports desired.
5.Demonstrated knowledge of personal computer software in a business environment. Microsoft Office and database systems.
6.Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to successfully work with other internal and external customers.
7.Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to create and present materials appropriate to the level of audience. Ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner.
8.Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally. Travel may be up to 20%.

Primary Purpose of the Position:
The Performance Group produces, calculates, and verifies performance returns and statistical information. The team performs these functions for a variety of products including the retail mutual funds, separate accounts, composites, and the college savings plans. The role of the Specialist within the Performance department is to produce investment returns and statistics to the highest level of accuracy and timeliness and respond efficiently to the needs of internal customers.
